Incurs R7m debt following “Fill Up Moses Mabhida” :This past weekend, Cassper Nyovest was on everybody’s lips following another successful “Fill Up” concert which took place in Moses Mabhida Saturday, and his iconic perfomance at the Global Citizen festival on Sunday.
However, despite pulling a crowd of over 62, 000 people for “Fill Up Moses Mabhida“, Nyovest is now stranded in 7-million debt due to lack of financial support.The “Sweet And Short” rapper had an interview on Morning Live Monday, where he broke down in detail the challenges of hosting “Fill Up Moses Mabhida”.
During the interview Cassper disclosed how sponsors pulled out on the day of the event and also talked about the challenges he encountered over the period of hosting this concert.
“Most often we find ourselves in positions where we need funding and sponsorships from institutions like the government and we were not able to be supported the way we should be. For instance, we just came from Mabhida and right now we’re sitting with a R7 million debt, after engaging with the different departments that were supposed to help us, and how they promised us all the support, there was no financial contribution,” the rapper told SABC News.
